Really enjoyed this place. Fantastic Spanish food compared to a lot of other eateries locally. Great deals on happy hour and a staff that is friendly and welcoming.

Quite possibly my favorite Mexican food restaurant. Visited one on Wash Ave many times before they closed. Best Mexican food. If you're here for the first time, try a chimichanga and you will go home full and happy. Margaritas are better if you get them iced, frozen taste weird sometimes.Decent service, although once we could not wait on our food as it took them over an hour to start making it (it was national Margarita day). Only reason why they get 4/5.The good: authentic Tex-Mex that is made with love! This is one of our favorites. The chicken tortilla soup should be on a “best of” list, somewhere!

We go here almost bi-weekly and the food is the BEST hands down. Up until recently, the customer service was pretty poor which is my only complaint. To be honest, the food was so amazing that we were willing to suffer through certain terrible waiting staff members just for the food. This has been better lately, seems as if the management has made a change for the better.

The El pastor tacos I had were some of the best I've ever had, my wife had a chicken taco and she enjoyed it very much. The chips and salsa we're good not exemplary. Service was very good and the food arrived pretty quickly and nice and hot. Very good selection of tequilas. Margarita's we're fairly priced and many different options. Prices were very good, and we will be at back to try other menu items.

I used uber eats to order my food from here when I got it, the bags were a complete mess. Grease and liquid everywhere inside the bags and all over the food containers. Nasty. Did not get my order correctly what so ever. All of the food tasted nasty and cold. Super unhappy with this experience. I needed utensils and napkins as well as I listed in the order and did not get those either. Terrible place.

I can't even describe how delicious the food is. This place has ruined every other Mexican style restaurant I've ever had before. Get in here and try something people, you will leave happy.

I come for the guac and stay for the margheritas! I had their fish and shrimp tacos and I couldn't decide which I liked more! The service was wonderful and very courteous and quick. You could tell everything was made fresh including the guac!

Treated my brother to lunch here for helping with moving furniture. The lunch specials were tasty and reasonably priced. He had the beef tacos and I had the fish tacos. All delicious. Service was super.

Seated quickly....early evening (5:30'ish) so very few others there...at least 5 minutes before anyone came to take drink order. Margaritas were pretty weak. Still no chips and salsa! Took our order then out came the chips and 2 tiny saucers of salsa for 3 adults and 2 kids. Food was ok, waitress was nice...not in a hurry to go back.

Every time I get Mexican food, I wish it was Las Palmas. Great food, superb service, amazing Hibiscus margaritas!

As you can tell by the face of a child this was a very authentic and wonderful taste and service to match one another!!!!! This food rocked we had great laughs and wonderful family time. Bring your spouse for good clean fun and restraunt atmosphere. We will be back!!!!

Good food and great service

My first visit here 3-4 years ago was amazing, but have been let down most recently. Charging for more chips and salsa? Charging for a little more sour cream with my fajitas? I didn't even ask for a couple more soft tortillas, as I'm sure there's a charge. House margarita was also very weak. Not sure what happened, but the place feels cheap.

Las Palmas has become the running joke of my friend group! We can't wait to go back for "sugar mountains" (what we call the frozen Margaritas). I personally got the Corona-rita with a Corona flipped upside down in it, and that thing does the trick. It's around ~$10 but worth it in my opinion, as it's basically 2 drinks in one. The aesthetic is worth walking around just to look at. Our waitress seemed a little clueless at times, but she was attentive and that's what matters in my opinion.

Awesome service. Excellent food. Very helpful wait staff. Filled my soda quickly. I don't eat refried beans and most mexican restaurants forget when I order double rice and this place has nailed it 100% Every Time I've come. My date loves the shredded beef, "it's the best around"... And he eats out a lot, so he'd know.

Good food and service. BUT charging per basket of chips and salsa.. Really? No Bueno for me.

Great atmosphere--love the decor, music not too loud and super friendly staff. Had the Hibiscus margarita which was really yummy and a chicken avocado salad which was delicious! Only complaint is that they seemed to be short-handed--our waiter was managing the bar and the tables (which he managed to pull off really well--give him a raise!). Will definitely be back again!

I can’t believe I haven’t tried this place yet! It’s a great Mexican joint. Service was fast, chips and salsa were great, and I liked everything we ordered. I’ll definitely try the other varieties of margaritas next time I go!

Good, authentic food, and generous cocktails! Lots of character! Reasonably clean! A downtown Maplewood gem! Caution when ordering the guac dip, relatively small portion bowl is also size-disguised with a wad of useless soggy lettuce underneath in bottom of bowl!!!

Potions aren't huge, but food is great. Service is good.

Was pleasantly surprised. Came in through town headed back to Tennessee. I'm rarely wowed by Mexican food as they're a dime a dozen but I had fajitas and the were very flavorful and a good portion. A bit pricey I thought at first but worth it. The poor girl waiting on me was serving the whole place including tending bar and playing hostess.

Fantastic food! I've never had a disappointing meal there. Just tried the shrimp tacos and they are to die for! Good margaritas too!

Ordered delivery. Got moldy chips. Now I'm sitting here wondering if the rest of my meal is tainted. Very disappointing. If you can't trust the chips, can you truly trust the rest of the meal?

I love it here. It is our go to place. People are great and so is the food. Shout out to Maria!

I enjoyed the steak and fish tacos which were nicely prepared and very tasty. Authentic food and quick service. The staff was friendly and did a nice job making sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal. I would recommend this restaurant.

The Chipotle Steak was cooked to perfection. Ribeye was tender, juicy & tasty. Could've used a bit more chipotle seasoning but still very good.

Unimpressive. Service is stiff, portions are average. The food has flavor, albeit the wrong ones. The red salsa tastes like marinara sauce, the salsa verde like Thai green curry paste, the rice like cucumbers, and the pico de gallo has lettuce in it. Quite the perplexing dining experience.

Amazing food. Not your Americanized versions. We sure enjoyed the authenticity and wonderful flavors. Nice staff and so friendly. Will be back.

The host (tall red headed guy) was rude, the margaritas were expensive with no alcohol, and the food was not great. The fajitas were okay-ish (chewy), but the seafood mix soup thing looked like a creature had spawned from the deepest parts of hell to wreak havoc on humanity and tasted that way too. Definitely not worth $70!

l love this place. The fish tacos are the best l've had and the margaritas are huge!

The food here is off-the-hook. We enjoyed this very much. Honestly I don't think I've ever had the chance to have a Veggie Chimichanga before and it was totally delicious.

Follow-up response: I did bring it to the attention of my server with multiple comments. He simply said, I'll let the kitchen know, nothing else.Terrible!!! I've been coming here for at least 10 years. After lunch today I definitely won't be back. I got a chicken enchilada which barely had any meat in it and it was super soggy. I also got a beef burrito and again barely had any meat in it and no flavor. Left with most of the food remaining on my plate. Used to be good, but quality has gone way down hill. Don't waste your time or your money.

Fun atmosphere, and staff. I've ordered take out and dined in. Both were good experiences. The coconut Margarita was great, and I love the chimichanga :)

I felt bad because we got there on a slow night and closer to closing. Everyone was still super friendly and provided excellent service. We made sure not to overstay our welcome (I think) and we enjoyed it very much.

Was recommended to come here from out of town. Accidently went to the other one before making it here. Wonderful food and great selection. If you're in a group I recommend sharing as it makes it easier to choose what to eat. Also, their margaritas prices are great especially if you're buying by the pitcher.

I got the cuatro tacos and each of them were very tasty. The service was really good. We got our drinks quick, food quick, and refills were never an issue. I will have to make a trip back to try some other entrees.
